I was asked to write a post about the 30 things that make me happy. Waw. That seems like a lot! Immediately I get curious : what exactly are those 30 things, and do I even have so many?
The only way to find out is to actually give it a go and start making that list.
I sit down at my desk, pen at hand, and start thinking.
- my barrista (husband) making me the perfect late while I wake up slowly in the morning.
- driving my car, top down, wind in my hair, loud music.
- walking through the streets of Buenos Aires with no specific direction, just where the green traffic lights lead me, earphones in, listening to my favorite podcasts and observing the world around me.
- …
I immediately realise that it is quite the task. I need to think about my days, my weeks, my life entirely. What do I do, what do I experience, what do I feel? What are the things I do regularly and the things I haven’t done in a while and should pick up doing again? Who makes me happy and how can I see these people more often?
It’s incredibly interesting and fun to do, it takes quite a while to finish it, but that’s only a short moment in my life!
And I realize I am doing quite well.
Now I challenge you to make that list. What are the 30 things that make you happy?
